                                                         Electrical Design

The first step in a project is normally to meet with the customer to determine the outline operation of the plant or machine. Often this leads to the development of a User Requirements Specification document.

From this and similar meetings our quotation and proposals will be presented.

If we secure an order for the project we would proceed to develop and design the electrical system. When the design is reviewed and approved the electrical drawings will be produced.

Often we work to a project plan to ensure that electrical milestones occur at the right time in respect to other tasks in the project.

We provide the various documentation required by the customer and ISO9001. Some projects require more documentation than others for example when GAMP is required or the area of use is designated as hazardous.

Extracts of typical Documents within the project:

Documents Required List with targets.       Quality Plan.

The system drawings are designed and produced from discussions with our customers along with documents such as the URS, FDS, P&ID etc when available.

P&id supplied by client.

Field instrument wiring plan.                             Single Line electrical system overview.

Control panel internal schematic.

When completed the Electrical drawings would be submitted for approval.

When the drawings and design are reviewed and approved, the manufacture of the control panels and configuration of the system software code can begin.

A technical file for each project is maintained and along with all the design documentation and drawings there will be Operating and Maintenance manuals, parts lists, test and conformance certificates etc.
